At the first Pop-Up Book Academy, Mike Wolf posed the question, "What are artist residences for?" Besides providing a stable place to work and reflect, Mike asked those at the talk to rethink its structure, and even consider how a pilgrimage through rural parts of the midwest could be a residency, or artistic action. Mike's idea of the walk works through the process, Verse Chorus Verse, as to how one goes through and prepares for the journey itself, then ways to use the experience for reflection.
